O’Gliss Park one of the largest water parks in France<\/p>\n

In 2021 O’Gliss Park will start its sixth season, since 2016 the young park from Vend\u00e9e has not stopped investing in order to offer more pools and attractions to its visitors. First in 2017 when the O’Cayo Island with its lagoon and waterfall was inaugurated, as well as the Virtual Rafting in 2018, the water park has thus seen its surface area increase steadily to exceed 8 hectares today.<\/p>\n

O’Gliss Park is now ranked among the largest water parks in France behind Aqualand Fr\u00e9jus (8.5 hectares) and just ahead of Aqualand Gujan Mestras (6 hectares).<\/p>\n

Contrary to the south of France, which has a large number of water parks, especially on the Mediterranean coast, the coastline of the Loire Atlantique region has few water parks. Oc\u00e9anile (near Noirmoutiers), or Atlantic Toboggan, and O’Gliss Park, (located between the town of Moutiers les Mauxfaits and Bernard located 25 minutes from Les Sables d’Olonne and 15 min from La Tranche-sur-Mer).<\/p>\n

This low number of large aquatic centers is largely explained by the weather, which is sometimes wrongly considered capricious, but also by the immediate proximity of large sandy beaches and a large number of campsites equipped with aquatic structures. The Vend\u00e9e region has 314 campsites and nearly 170,000 beds, making it the leading region in terms of number of classified campsites.<\/p>\n

The crazy project of the O’Fun Park<\/a> aquatic center was born in the mind of Micha\u00ebl Thibaud, creator of the O’Fun Park (formerly known as Indian Forest) who had already imagined his Aqualand “made in Vend\u00e9e” in early 2010. It is in 2014 with the launch of his activity Water Jump on Indian Forest, that Micha\u00ebl Thibaud will become aware of the feasibility of his project.<\/p>\n

Indeed, the Water Jump is inspired by the activities that can be found in water parks such as Aqualand or with the possibility of sliding on one of the 13 tracks in buoys or bodyboarding to jump into the huge pool created for the occasion. As soon as it was launched, the activity was an immediate success with a high number of visitors throughout the summer, a success that was a strong argument to convince investors to embark on the O’gliss Park adventure.<\/p>\n

In 2016, the aquatic center O’Gliss Park opens its doors on an exceptional season, in only 2 months, the park Vend\u00e9e knows a similar attendance to the Mediterranean parks (Aqualand Frejus, and Aqualand Antibes in particular) with more than 180,000 visitors for 130,000 expected visitors.<\/p>\n
